Commissioner's Awards Recipients for Volunteer and Bravery

The Commissioner of Nunavut, Edna Elias, presented awards for volunteer work and for bravery at a ceremony in Iqaluit, on April 23, at the Nunatta Sunakkutaangit Museum. First row, from left to right: Commissioner Edna Elias, Xing Xiu Huang for volunteer work, Minister Monica Ell, Pauloosie Attagootak for bravery, Pudloo Lucassie and Joanasie Michael, both received awards for volunteer work. Second row: Matthew Nuqingaq (received on behalf of his spouse, Darlene, for work with the Iqaluit Music and fiddle), Russ Blanchett and Doug Cox received awards for volunteer work.
